Why, hello there. Nice to meet you.
Thanks for dropping by. I’m Scott Drummond, an Art Director, Designer, Illustrator, Sequential Artist and, occasionally, Motionographer. Or, as I like to think of it, a guy that gets to spend most of his time making really cool stuff.
Branding, interaction and usability excite me like ice cream and puppies excite most people. I just can’t get enough. Whether it’s creating new logos, rebranding websites, mocking up storyboards or just making navigation menus work better, I put my years of experience behind it to make it the best it can possibly be.
A Little History
While I’d like to think I was born with some superhuman design abilities, I have to admit I didn’t arrive this way. So, let’s take a look at some credentials, shall we?
University of Kansas — 2001-2005
Here I received my BFA in Visual Communication: Illustration and worked as a freelance illustrator for the University Daily Kansan, providing pieces for articles as well as a weekly comic strip.
Bazillion Pictures — 2005-2006
At Bazillion, I modeled and mapped 3D buildings for a simulation game, animated a series of cartoon backgrounds for KCPT’s Eat Small campaign that won a local Emmy, mapped and animated piñatas for a Viva Piñata desktop widget. I also worked with other animators to art direct a number of different projects.
Muller Bressler Brown — 2006-2008
Concepts, designs, development, and maintenance for Flash and HTML websites was my main focus at MBB. I also designed and developed banner ads for clients such as PayPal, the University of Kansas, Faultless, Mr. Goodcents, Junior Achievement, and Durrie Vision. Additionally, I art directed and illustrated a television ad series for Independence Honda, and provided illustrations for printed pieces and storyboards.
Intouch Solutions — 2008-current
Currently, I’m an Interactive Art Director at Intouch Solutions. I work closely with account teams, SEO and user experience experts, developers and other creatives to deliver new brand identities; fully responsive website, tablet and mobile designs; branded email, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube page designs; video and motion graphics pieces, and illustrated storyboards for primarily healthcare companies.

I’ve also been doing plenty of freelance work throughout and have even started a bi-weekly online graphic novel called Nightsmoke.
